Overview:

We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Laboruer Operator for the safe and efficient operation of the crusher plant to produce aggregate materials. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor the crushing plant to ensure production goals are met while maintaining quality standards.
  • Operate loaders to safely load, move, and distribute materials during breaks and operator days off.
  • Operate Rock trucks to feed the primary crusher and stockpile aggregate at the Asphalt plant and quarry piles during breaks and operator days off
  • Conduct routine inspections and perform basic maintenance on crusher equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Complete housekeeping including operation of a skid steer or mini loader and manually shoveling spillage on catwalks, stairs and work areas at the aggregate plant.
  • Assist the maintenance team during plant repairs and preventative maintenance including lubricating plant and changing wear parts.
  • Identify, report, and help troubleshoot equipment malfunctions or irregularities to minimize downtime.
  • Follow all health and safety protocols and report any potential hazards or incidents immediately.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience operating a crusher and loader or similar heavy equipment would be required.
  • Strong understanding of aggregate production and crushing processes.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks in a rugged outdoor environment, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Mechanically inclined with the ability to perform basic troubleshooting and preventative maintenance.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job site.
  • Strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and attention to detail.

Wage Range:

The hourly range for this position in Ontario at the start of employment is expected to be between $26.00 and $35.00 per hour. However, the range offered is based on local job market factors and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
