Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Safely load materials onto the truck’s bed using mechanical equipment or manual methods.
  • Ensure proper weight distribution and securement of the load.
  • Operate the truck’s hydraulics to raise the bed and unload materials at the designated locations, such as construction sites or waste disposal areas.
  • Use the truck’s controls to adjust the rate of material discharge.
  • Transport various types of materials, such as soil, sand, gravel, asphalt, rocks, or debris.
  • Ensure that the load is properly contained and covered to prevent spillage during transport.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and overall condition of the triaxle truck.
  • Maintain accurate records of each load, including the type and quantity of material transported, origin, destination, and customer information.
  • Complete any required paperwork for regulatory compliance or billing purposes.
  • Plan and follow efficient routes to transport materials to the designated locations, minimizing travel time and fuel consumption.
  • Maintain effective communication with dispatchers and other team members to coordinate activities, schedule deliveries, and respond to changing job requirements.
  • Use two-way radios or mobile communication devices as needed.
  • Be prepared to respond to emergency situations, such as equipment breakdowns, traffic accidents, or material spills.
  • Follow established procedures for reporting incidents and seeking assistance when needed.
  • Interact with customers and site personnel in a professional and courteous manner
  • Provide information about delivery times, materials, and any special requirements.

Requirements:

  • A valid AZ license is required. A clean driver’s abstract is an essential.
  • At least 5 years of experience driving a commercial vehicle is a requirement.
  • Ability to obtain reliability status clearance.
  • Flexible schedule availability is required, with the ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as needed to meet the demands of the job.
  • This may include responding to urgent delivery needs or adjusting to project timelines.

Wage Range:

The hourly range for this position in Ontario at the start of employment is expected to be between $29.00 and $31.00 per hour. However, the wage offered is based on local job market factors and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
