The Trail Road Waste Facility Stage 5A project involved the expansion of the Trail Road Waste Facility, including the construction of four new leachate collection sumps across three new sub-cells, an electrical service building, and other ancillary infrastructure required to support ongoing landfill operations.
The scope of work included site preparation, sub-cell construction, liner and leachate collection system installation, leachate forcemain and valve installation, perimeter civil works, stormwater infrastructure, excavation, electrical works, and landfill gas infrastructure.
The work was completed in three stages, allowing waste disposal operations to commence within each sub-cell as construction progressed over three construction seasons.
