Loader Operator (Asphalt Plant)

Location: Jinkinson Road, Henderson Asphalt Plant (Stittsville, Ontario)

Overview:

This position plays a key role in supporting asphalt operations by handling material movement and site preparation using heavy machinery. The operator will manage equipment with care, ensuring everything runs smoothly and remains in good working order throughout the day. They will contribute to the overall success of the crew by stepping in to help with various tasks as projects progress. Applicants should bring hands-on experience with loaders, along with a dependable way to get to and from job sites. Because work continues year‑round, the ability to stay productive in changing outdoor conditions is essential.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Passionate about operating heavy equipment
  • Ability to safely and efficiently operate a loader
  • Performs daily safety and maintenance checks
  • Assist team members with other tasks required at the plant

Requirements:

  • Prior experience operating a loader
  • Valid drivers license and own transportation is required
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions

Working hours: Days, nights, weekends required with a flexible schedule for hours to change throughout the season.

Wage Range:

The hourly range for this position in Ontario at the start of employment is expected to be between $26.00 and $36.00 per hour. However, the range offered is based on local job market factors and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
