Asphalt Plant Labourer

The Asphalt Plant Labourer supports daily plant operations by maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient yard environment. This role assists with material handling, equipment cleaning, site housekeeping, and general labour duties to ensure smooth plant production and compliance with safety standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Daily maintenance of the asphalt plant; greasing of bearings, adjusting belts
  • Inspect and grease asphalt conveyors, and ensure equipment is functioning properly
  • Shoveling, use of hand tools and other labour duties as assigned
  • Mechanically includes and working at heights; ability to climb silos
  • General asphalt and maintenance work
  • Other duties as required

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years related experience on a crusher, asphalt or concrete plant
  • Capable of using a shovel and rake
  • Knowledge of hand tools
  • Physically fit; ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Own vehicle and reliable transportation
  • Working hours may require

The hourly range for this position in Ontario at the start of employment is expected to be between $27.00 and $35.00 per hour. However, the range offered is based on local job market factors and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
