Duties and responsibilities;

  • Safely operate dozer and other heavy equipment to perform tasks such as grading, earth moving, excavating, backfilling, and final grade preparation, maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency.
  • Ensure job sites are prepped before projects begin, including clearing, grubbing, sloping, and leveling, following project specifications and blueprints to meet company and client requirements.
  • Perform daily checks and basic maintenance on dozer and associated equipment to ensure safe operation, including checking fluids, cleaning, and making minor adjustments or reporting larger repairs to the maintenance team.

The Plant Maintenance Technician will be responsible for carrying out assigned tasks and responsibilities at the Henderson Asphalt Plant. They will be required to meet, or exceed, our safety standards while maintaining the operational integrity of the facility. It is important that they maintain open and constructive communication with colleagues, supervisors, and other stakeholders. Duties and Responsibilities:

· Work safely around Asphalt Plant and Heavy Equipment while completing maintenance and clean up duties.

· Working in a fast-paced environment within a positive team atmosphere.

· Assist in repairs and maintenance of Asphalt plant equipment.

· Inform foreman of any issues prior to performing assigned work.

· Complete maintenance inspections and pre-operational checks.

· Assist in plant set-up, inspection, and modifications.

We are currently seeking a dedicated Crushing Plant Labourer to assist with the day-to-day operations at our crushing facilities. The initial placement will be at our Henderson Quarry on Jinkinson Road, with potential assignments across various locations in the Ottawa Valley. The role requires working long shifts, totaling 11 to 12 hours per day, 5 days a week, involving tasks ranging from machine operation assistance to maintenance and safety compliance.

We are seeking a skilled Rock Truck Driver to operate a 40-tonne, 6-wheel articulating rock truck at our Quarry operations. This position will initially be based at our Henderson Quarry on Jinkinson Road but will require movement between various quarries throughout the Ottawa Valley. The role involves working shifts of 11 and 12 hours a day, 5 days a week.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operate haul trucks safely and efficiently to transport materials such as rocks, gravel, and other aggregates within the quarry.
  • Load materials onto trucks using loaders or other equipment as directed.
  • Maneuver trucks on haul roads and through tight spaces within the quarry.
  • Ensure transported materials are delivered from excavation areas to designated stockpiles or processing areas.

The Crusher Shop Procurement position focuses on maintaining optimal inventory levels, creating and managing purchase orders, and ensuring effective stock organization and communication regarding parts issues. This role requires a keen eye for cost-effective solutions without compromising quality, proficiency in ERP software, preferably Vista, and the ability to collaborate closely with various departments to support the company’s fleet and operations. Ideal candidates are team-oriented, results-driven, and possess strong decision-making skills, with experience in aggregate or industrial plant processing and supply chain management being advantageous.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain inventory at optimum levels
  • Create purchase orders for inventory items and for specific items necessary to fulfill specific job tasks and as requested by the field teams.
  • Reorder inventoried stock as required.
    Check pricing for any ordered items and identify and suggest cost effective alternatives, when possible, without sacrificing quality
  • Receive ordered items into inventory using Vista (ERP)  software.
  • Contact staff when items arrive for pickup or delivery.
  • Direct delivery driver(s) for pickups/deliveries when necessary
  • Maintain and organize our on-hand inventory levels daily to ensure our stock levels reflect requirements for both our internal and external customers
  • Communicate clearly with management regarding any parts related issues (back orders/supplier issues/ product defects/extensive lead times etc.)
  • Employee will be expected to use the built upon relationships we have created with our many suppliers to order/re-order a variety of mechanical parts/ hardware/chemicals and lubricants on a daily/weekly basis to support the Thomas Cavanagh Construction fleet and their companies
  • Communicate with other departments within the Thomas Cavanagh Construction organization regarding various shipments that arrive at our facility and distribute these shipments as required
  • Assist with the priorities of the parts department as assigned and designated by the parts manager
  • This is a team-oriented position where we all work together to achieve our daily/weekly or monthly goals so a like-minded individual would be preferred for this position

Requirements:
