Grading Foreman is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of grading operations on-site, ensuring that work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications. This role involves managing a grading crew, interpreting construction drawings, and working closely with engineers, surveyors, and operators to achieve the required grade
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily grading activities, ensuring work is performed efficiently and to specification
- Read and interpret construction drawings to establish proper grades and elevations.
- Use survey instruments to set and verify correct lines and grades
- Identify potential conflicts or issues and communicate to the Superintendent
- Direct grading crew and heavy equipment operators to achieve proper grade
- Work with superintendent to troubleshoot and resolve grading-related challenges
- Maintain accurate records of daily progress, material usage, and site conditions
- Ensure adherence COR and company policies are followed on-site
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in grading
- Strong knowledge of grading techniques, surveying, and construction specifications.
- Ability to read and interpret , construction drawings, and survey data.
- Proficiency in using survey instruments such as laser levels and GPS equipment.
- Strong mathematical skills to accurately calculate grades and elevations.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and effectively lead a team.

Wage Range:
The salary range for this position in Ontario at the start of employment is expected to be between $95,000 and $145,000 per year. However, the range offered is based on local job market factors and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
